About the Author Maryam Khalifah is a talented author and illustrator whose debut picture book releases in late fall 2024. Coming from a multiracial background (Mauritian and English), Maryam is a huge proponent of seeing those from similar backgrounds represented in artwork. She loves illustrating diverse characters like herself. When she is not illustrating, she can be found enjoying walks through her local forest, going to yoga classes, or diving into a wonderful book with a good cup of tea.
