Description

“take a look, it’s in a book” …a Reading Rainbow! These lyrics evoke great memories for me of LeVar Burton and his great TV show. And now there’s a reboot with Mychal Threets. This fun art is perfect for similarly literary / book loving / readers / millennial / nostalgic / new converts / Reading Rainbow loving people in your life! And yourself, of course. Plus, librarians and teachers! You’ll note the flower field growing out of the book is its own rainbow meadow, and I wanted to include the butterflies in the original theme song animation. Are they a monarch butterfly and a swallowtail butterfly? Possibly, but only if you want them to be 🙂 I didn’t research these, just made them beautiful.

This PDF pattern is pretty and satisfying to sew. I provide 16 suggested DMC thread colors plus stitch suggestions, but I encourage you to be creative and choose your own!
