This painting was inspired by the poem “Ode on Melancholy” by John Keats composed in 1819. A very poignant reminder that all beauty must end. This painting is composed of different elements of the poem: Death’s Head Moth, Wolf’s Bane, Peonies, and Nightshade. Also inspired by Within Temptation’s “Covered by Roses” which directly quotes this poem. A memento mori painting that is sure to invite conversation in your home.

All my artwork is created using real paint and paintbrushes on canvas. The purchase of this piece supports a real, human artist. I try to provide small video on each of my painting listing to showcase that is 100% created by me using traditional painting methods.

Paper Print is offered in two sizes of 8.5×11 & 4×5 on high quality paper matte.

Packaged securely with a cardboard backing inside a plastic sleeve, our prints arrive safe and ready for display. The frame is not included, allowing you to pick the perfect match for your decor.

Please note that frames and mounting hardware are not included. Color can vary slightly due to lighting, camera angle and the screen the image is being viewed on. Each print is made to order, with a production time of 1-3 working days.
